When we lose the ones we love
it leaves an empty space
within our hearts, and life seems vain
for none can take their place

And oh, we long to catch a glimpse
of that dear face now gone
and hear that loving voice
now raised in Heaven’s song

But if we could pull back the veil
and see beyond our shores
then we would see them yet again-
but just through yonder door

And as we grieve, they’d raise their hand
to wipe away our tears
For they see and understand
that there’s no cause for fears

For death is but a passing on
through yet another door
where they are welcomed home again
to dwell forever more.
