Well known children’s hymn, reminding us that Jesus loves everyone regardless of ethnicity, culture or location. We are all Children of God. Jesus died for our sins and was resurrected.
Alternative lyrics:
‘Every color, shape and size, they are precious in his eyes’
‘Every child in every land, Jesus holds them in His hand’
The music part of this hymn was originally written in 1864 as an American civil war tune called ‘Tramp! Tramp! Tramp!’ by George Fredrick Root. The lyrics were written by Clarence Herbert Woolston, inspired by what Jesus says in the bible at Matthew 19:14 “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Lyrics
Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow
Black and white
They are precious in His sight.
Jesus loves the little children
Of the world.
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow
Black and white
They are precious in His sight.
Jesus loves the little children
Of the world.
Jesus died for all the children
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow
Black and white
They are precious in His sight.
Jesus died for all the children
Of the world.
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow
Black and white
They are precious in His sight.
Jesus died for all the children
Of the world.
Jesus rose for all the children
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow
Black and white
They are precious in His sight.
Jesus rose for all the children
Of the world.
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow
Black and white
They are precious in His sight.
Jesus rose for all the children
Of the world.
