The lyrics of ‘These are the days of our lives’ were written by Queen’s drummer Roger Taylor. The song is about how becoming a parent brings the memories and joy of your own childhood back into your life.
It was also written soon after Freddie Mercury was diagnosed with the HIV virus, so it is about putting the whole of life and death into perspective.
